If you want my method without doing the video or link here it is.
Before you start solving a cube with this site you need to know notation for a cube. If you dont know notation there is a link on it on the 3x3x3 section on page 1 on how to solve a cube.
THE WHITE CROSS step 1 the white cross is the first out of seven steps for solving a 3x3x3. It's very easy
First you need all the white edge pieces on the yellow side(each sides color is determined by the color of its center piece). You should be able to figure it out on you own. Then pick a white edge piece, look at the color on the side that isn't white then line it up with the center piece that is the same color and move it up to the white side(F2). Keep doing this until you have the white cross. The centers must be lines up with the edges.
Note: the in the pictures only the white edges and the center matter. Do not try to make it look exactly like the pictures.
THE WHITE CORNERS step 2 The white corners is the second step for solving a cube. It's a little harder than the white cross but still very easy.
Find a white corner piece that is on the bottom row and the white isn't on the yellow side(D side) and look at the other two colors on it. Move the color that isn't white and isn't on the yellow side(D side) to the side that is the same color as it. Then if have a situation like the one to the right where, with the white corner facing you and below were it needs to go, the corner is to the right of the side, facing you, move it to the left(DI)(I=prime), bring the right side down(RI), move the corner back(D), then move it up to the white side(R). Do this every time the white corner is to the right(with it facing you).
But if you have the situation to the right were, with the white corner facing you and below were it needs to go and the corner is to the left of the side, facing you, move it to the right(D), bring the left side down(L), move the corner back(DI), then move it up to the white side(LI). Do this every time the white corner is to the left(with it facing you).
If the white side of the corner is on the yellow side then find a corner on the white side(U side) that isn't solved and move the white corner under the that spot and with the corner on the right(if the white corner is on the left than move the whole thing clockwise or YI), bring the right side down(RI), move the corner out of the way and to the right(D), then move the right side back up.
If you have a situation like the one on the right then you move the corner down(L)move it left(DI) then move it back up(LI)
But if you have a situation like the one on the right then you move the corner down(RI)move it right(D) then move it back up(R).
THE MIDDLE LAYER step 3 For this step it is extremely important that you know notation for a cube because this is the first step with algorithms.
Start off by flipping the cube over(X2orZ2)so that the yellow side is facing up then find a edge piece that is on the yellow side(U side) and has no yellow on either side of the edge piece. Look at the color that isn't facing up and move it to the side that is the same color, then find were it needs to go on the middle layer, on the left or on the right. If it needs to go on the left like the picture on the right then do the algorithm UI LI U L U F UI FI and that should put it there.
But if the edge piece goes on the right like in the picture on the right then then do the algorithm U R UI RI UI FI U F and that should put it there.
If you ever have a situation were the middle layer isn't solved but there are no more edge pieces on the yellow side(D side)that don't have yellow on either side, you need to grab an edge piece that isn't in the right place from the midle layer and to do that you need to put the yellow edge piece that is above it right were the piece you need on the yellow side(U side) is, so use one of the move sets you learned earlier in this step to put the yellow edge were the piece you need out is.
THE YELLOW CROSS step 4 After solving the middle layer should have gotten 1 of 3 scenarios, but before I tell you what they are, you need to remember that the corners don't matter in this step only the edges matter. Now the three scenarios are the hook(top), the line(middle), and the dot(bottom). Make sure that the hook and the line is in the same position as they are in the picture. If you got the hook then do the algorithmF U R UI RI FI and that should solve the yellow cross(bottom). If you got the line do the algorithm F R U RI UI FI and that should solve the yellow cross.
If you got the dot then you need to get one of the other two scenarios. to do that just do one of the other algorithms you learned in this step and then you should have one of the other scenarios and you can solve it from there.
THE YELLOW CORNERS step 5 Now you should have one of 4 scenarios: the fish(top), the double fish(second), the tree(second to last), and the cross.
If you got the fish, position it so that the head of the fish is closest to you and on the left but still on the top side(U side) and do the algorithm R U RI U R U2 RI and if it solved the yellow corners, great, but if it did nothing just do it again.
If you got the double fish, just do the algorithm you just learned and that should give you either the tree, the cross or the fish.
If you got the tree, find a yellow corner that is not on the U side that is on the left of that side. Hold it so that it is on the left side(L side) and do the algorithm you just learned, R U RI U R U2 RI, and that should give you the fish.
If you got the cross, find a find a yellow corner that is not on the U side that is on the right of that side then rotate the whole cube clockwise(Y) then do the algorithm, R U RI U R U2 RI, and that should give you the fish.
POSITIONING THE YELLOW CORNERS CORRECTLY step 6 Find 2 corner pieces on the unsolved layer that are the same color and on the same side. Move them to the back and do the algorithm RI FI RI B2 R FI RI B2 R2 UI. And that should position the yellow corners correctly.
But if you got a situation where there were no 2 corner pieces on the unsolved layer that were the same color and on the same side then just do the algorithm you just learned and it will match some up.
POSITIONING THE YELLOW EDGES CORRECTLY step 7 First thing you have to so is to find the side that is already solved and hold that it is the back side(B side). Now find out if the unsolved edges need to move clockwise or counter clockwise. To figure that out you rotate the up side clockwise once(U) and if the edges match up with their center pieces then the unsolved edges need to move clockwise. If they didn't match up then he unsolved edges need to move counter clockwise.
If they have to move clockwise then, with the solved side on the back, do the algorithm F2 U L RI F2 LI R U F2 and that should solve the cube.
If they have to move counter clockwise then, with the solved side on the back, do the algorithm F2 UI L RI F2 LI R UI F2 and that should solve the cube.
If were no solved sides just do either algorithm that you just learned.
